Welcome to Lynccup, your one stop platform to organize events and catch up on all trending events around you. With Lynccup, event booking has never been easier.

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), which set forth the legally binding terms and conditions between you and Lynccup to understand how we have positioned our team and services to meet your needs as an event planner or a user looking to book for events around you.

These Terms govern your access to and the use of Lynccup’s website (the "Site") and all services (the "Service") offered by Lynccup. Throughout the Site, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Lynccup. Our collection and use of personal information in connection with your access to and use of the Service is described in our Privacy Policy.

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service and all applicable laws and all conditions or policies referenced here. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms then you may not access the Site or use the Service.

1. Definitions

In this document, "User Agreement", "Agreement", "Terms and Conditions of Service" are synonymous and used interchangeably. In this Agreement, "you" or "your" or "User" refers to any person or entity using the Service. Unless otherwise stated, "Lynccup," "we" or "our" or "us" will refer collectively to Lynccup.

2. Acceptance of Terms

The Service is offered subject to acceptance of all the terms and conditions contained in these Terms and all other operating rules, policies and procedures that may be published on the Site by us, which are incorporated by reference, including operating rules, policies and procedures of third-party service providers to the Site that are referenced herein. These Terms apply to every user of the Service.

In addition, some Services offered through the Site may be subject to additional terms and conditions adopted by us. Your use of those Services is subject to those additional terms and conditions, which are incorporated into these Terms by this reference.

3. Interruption and Termination of Service

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms from time to time by posting the updated terms on the Site. It is your responsibility to check the Terms periodically for changes. If you object to such changes, your sole recourse will be to cease using the Site and the Service. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of changes to the Terms will indicate your acknowledgement of such changes and agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions of such changes.

We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue the Service (including but not limited to, the availability of any feature, database, or content) at any time for any reason. We may also impose limits on certain features and Services or restrict your access to parts of or the entire Site without notice or liability.

4. Creating Events

  1. We validate events owners’ identity and existence by requesting for details like billing address, bank details and other necessary information.
  2. We promote all categories of events in Nigeria that are in compliance with the Nigerian law (Social & Corporate).
  3. Only verified event owners are allowed to create events to protect users from fraud.
  4. Event owners are responsible for ensuring posted events comply with applicable rules & regulations.
  5. Event owners are expected to have required licenses and permissions.

5. Event Booking

  1. We help event owners manage their guests and ease booking; we do not directly own the events.
  2. Payments are processed on behalf of event owners through trusted third-party merchant (Paystack).
  3. Booking confirmation & reminders are sent via email (including favourites reminders).
  4. For paid events you receive a detailed payment breakdown via email.
  5. For booking others, provide names exactly as on valid ID.
  6. Group bookings follow instructions provided (email or phone).

6. Admission into Events

  1. Show your e-ticket (email) to be checked in.
  2. Present valid photo ID matching ticket name.
  3. Tickets are event-specific; cannot be reused for another event.
  4. Tickets are non-transferable.
  5. No refunds for non-attendance due to circumstances beyond control.
  6. Attendees must comply with event rules.

7. Payment for Events

  1. No charges for free events; paid events require listed fees.
  2. We partner with secure payment processors.
  3. We do not store card details.
  4. Instant email notifications include payment + event details.

8. Event Cancellation

Process where cancellations occur:

  1. Organizers must notify attendees ≥24h prior, then refund attendees.
  2. Refunds must be completed before backend cancellation proceeds.

9. Privacy & Users’ Information

  1. User personal info protected by our Privacy Policy.
  2. Payment details safeguarded; processors must comply.
  3. Organizers must comply; no unauthorized access.
  4. Users should protect login credentials.

10. Data Collection & Usage

Account deletion terminates access and constitutes a data erasure request. Account data is restorable up to 30 days; afterwards it becomes irretrievable.

Using services without an account still binds you to these Terms. If a separate agreement ends, these Terms continue unless expressly replaced.

11. Guideline for Event Owners

Event owners are key partners; additional verification is required. We may suspend for:

  1. Failure to provide required information.
  2. Inconsistent / inaccurate submitted data.
  3. Being banned from organizing events under jurisdictional law.

12. Restriction of Users’ Activities

  1. Direct breach of Terms.
  2. Fraudulent activities.
  3. Promotion of criminally-aligned events.

13. Prohibitions

We prohibit cyber bullying, violent threats, harassment, hate content, sexual exploitation, explicit adult content, persistent abusive conduct, and unwanted sexual advances. Accounts may be limited, suspended, or banned based on severity.

Violent threats, wishes of harm, or sexual objectification are not tolerated. Unsolicited adult media, sexual solicitation, or persistent targeting results in action.

14. Dispute Resolution

Contact support first. Unresolved disputes after 30 days go to arbitration (Lagos Court of Arbitration) under Nigerian law—single arbitrator, award targeted within ninety (90) days.

15. Features & Service Updates

  1. Updates communicated via email.
  2. In-app pop-up notifications for new features.
  3. Updated terms may accompany new services.

16. Commercial Use of Our Content

Unauthorized crawling, scraping, or extraction of data/content for personal or commercial purposes is prohibited and may result in legal action.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Lynccup harmless from claims arising from: illegal use, negligence, inaccurate information, credential exposure, or IP infringement tied to your use.

18. Intellectual Property

All original content, features, and functionality remain the exclusive property of Lynccup. No derivative use, reverse engineering, or redistribution without written consent—except as expressly allowed for personal, non-commercial viewing.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Non-enforcement of a provision is not a waiver. Invalid provisions do not affect the remainder.

20. Feedback

We welcome feedback. By submitting ideas, you grant Lynccup a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual license to use and publish them without compensation.
